Such a busy, busy weekend!
Any weekend that starts off Friday with a Costumed Scavenger Run throughout downtown Savannah, is going to be an ‘A+’ weekend in my book! I was the bike patrol for a portion of the group to make sure everyone was safe, sound, and having FUN!
After the run (and changing out of my costume), I met up with the hubs to see “Chasing Mavericks”. We were excited to see it, since we spent a few days in Half Moon Bay for our honeymoon. We both surf, although I more like the paddling portion of surfing
I loved the movie and it came just as the storm was creating some decent waves, so hubs went out super early on Saturday to surf.
I love Saturdays that are filled with fun stuff…. like shopping, a party, and a little work mixed in! In between two work meetings, I got to do a little shopping and then come home and get ready for Lydia & Larsen’s reception in honor of their wedding a few weeks ago!
So much good food… and the dessert table. OMG.
And Sunday started off a new way before the busy day began.
Originally, I thought I would mix in spinning and yogalites for my cross training until my MRI. That was until Friday night and my knee hurt biking the course with the Fun Run. So I thought to try Bikram might help release some of my extra energy and not make me feel like a lump on a log! I used to practice Bikram when I lived in Key West, then I dabbed with it while back home in Northern Va, and a few times since the new studio opened here in Savannah.
And I get to wear my booty shorts!
So I think that I will combine; Bikram, Yogalites, and Swimming. Hoping that the latter two work out for my knee!
Anywho… back to what should have been Sunday Funday! After getting my sweat on and a shower… I made my way to Brooke’s house again for a Junior League committee meeting for provisionals for our service project for the Ronald McDonald House. I always love Brooke’s hospitality!
Sadly, I was supposed to go to baby shower right after my meeting but during the meeting a migraine came up on me quickly. So I dropped off her present and peeked in at the decorations, the ladies who planned it for the Guest of Honor, did a great job!
So I came back home and took my migraine meds and napped for a few hours…. and decided to skip out on my Savannah Film Fest tickets. Bummer.
How was your weekend? Do you do hot yoga or Bikram?

Bikram! Yes! I was doing it before I started CREW training for the half and had to stop going because my schedule couldn’t allow for both. I’m definitely going to go back this winter! Maybe I’ll see you there!
Would love to see you there!
I did Bikram a few times when I lived in Philadelphia and once since I moved to NYC. I can’t decide how I feel about it. I’m thinking about doing it the week after the marathon to help get the crap out of my system (aka gu, carbs etc).
I love it because you do feel so refreshed!
