Laurel’s Kitchen (*1976) gives two pages to how to make your own but just in case you don’t have her cookbook, here are some basic instructions. First of all, be sure that you buy the berries from a trusted organic source. They should be pesticide free, not chemically treated for planting and not grown around where they can be contaminated by animal feces.
Many herbs can be grown from seeds that are planted each year. Some herbs are perennial, which means that once they are established they will return each year. Most perennial herbs are grown from young plants, while annual herbs are grown from seed. You can start seeds indoors in pots and then move them outdoors to the garden if you like. Herbs often grow well in large pots on a deck or patio.
For those that live outside of the Toledo area, Durdel’s has a website complete with shopping cart. While you can purchase many kinds of guitars here, do note that the Denny Kopp models have absolutely astonishing prices; for less than you’d buy a brand new Gibson (which is factory made, not hand made) you’ll end up with a totally unique instrument, made by hand by the same person. Plus Durdel’s still has the option of layaway, for just 25% down (most stores have jettisoned this feature in favor of credit).
