Cheering, Meat, & Crazy Hair

I am really not digging this whole not running thing. I don’t like having extra energy that I need to expend nor the fact that I’m not burning as many calories so I have less room to tinker with when it comes to food. I feel lethargic and unmotivated in the mornings to wake up and blog or catch up on other things that I could do in the mornings, so I can have my evenings free. It truly is amazing how much more energy you have when you workout consistently. Ok, pity party over for today.

But I will always have energy for cheering on my ‘teammates’ and friends!

So on Saturday, the ‘Injured Mobile’ of Susan (who broke her shoulder this past Monday) and I drove the course cheering during CREW’s last long run before the Half group begins their taper. I almost had tears in my eyes of joy for everyone because they looked so strong and were keeping an even pace the whole time.

Then to keep with the cheering theme, hubs and I went to a local watering hole to cheer on Clemson while they defeated Virginia Tech. This particular bar is known for their wings and I knew we wouldn’t be there all stinkin’ day, so I decided to have a few. And man they were soooo yummy. And man, my stomach hated me about 45 minutes later.

And while on that note of  ’going vegetarian because my stomach hates me’ thing, that I mentioned two months ago.  Besides eating meat about three times in the course of nine-weeks, because I craved it, I am doing well and getting enough protein through other sources that are not animal based. My stomach couldn’t be happier and I feel great.

Speakin’ of things going cray cray….

I was practicing for my Halloween hair to get it to stand up straight and I couldn’t get it to work. We tried putting an empty coke can in. That didn’t work. An empty water bottle in, that didn’t work. Once I realized that using my own hair to accomplish the ‘do’ I needed for my costume was out the window; I required the use of Dawn dish soap, two shampoos, and leave-in conditioner to get the junk out.

Guess I need to get a wig online, since I have exhausted all the stores in Savannah… or find a new costume.

How was your weekend? What are you being for Halloween? Homemade or bought in a store?
