Before I get to who won the Beaufort Twilight 5k/8k Race entry, let’s talk about a coooooold run that involved going up and down parking decks FIVE times!
About 30 people registered for the “Post Valentine’s Day Parking Deck Crawl”.
But with the coooold temperatures we were expecting, I knew that number would dwindle. When I woke up at 4:30am, it was 33 degrees. I just wanted to lay in bed. But I remembered the add 20 degrees and 53 degrees didn’t seem too bad!
So I parked downtown and did a 5 mile solo run at my goal half marathon pace. It was nice to just run solo. Just me and my headlamp.
I then camped out in a hotel lobby before venturing back out to meet the thirty SEVEN people who braved the weather. And seriously, once we got moving it felt fine! Nothing like 6 miles of parking decks to make you sweat!

Congrats to the winner of the Beaufort Twilight Run. This is one of my very favorite runs! I too wussed out of the parking deck crawl B-U-T I DID run in 27 degree weather this morning with 4 wonderful and brave No Boundaries ladies and two awesome coaches!
