Happy Valentine’s Day!!! xoxo
Somewhere between Saturday and the all the rain we have been getting… I lost my motivation.

Noooo. Not the motivation to dance with 80′s style sunglasses, but the motivation to wake up at 4:30am to log some solid miles. I have been more excited about my weekend long runs, than my weekday workouts. And I need to remedy this soon!
So how is a girl to do this?
1- Stop staying up super late to watch ridiculous amounts of NCIS re-runs. Gibbs will still be there tomorrow….
2- Scheduling workout dates! Runs with the girls, Pure Barre, Swimming…. whatever. I need to meet someone early in the morning to make sure I get out of my warm bed.
3- Keep signing up for more races and if need be, add in miles before the race to obtain my weekend mileage. For example, on a whim, I have a Half Marathon next weekend. My best friends’ husband and I are going to run it together or him dragging me. I know I need to do more races to get over my fear of them.

4- Make workouts fun! I love hill work, so in order to make it fun I am hosting the Valentine’s Weekend Parking Deck Crawl
5- Read a bunch of blogs that motivate me! I juggle a bunch of blogs and really fluctuate with what I want and need to read at the particular moment. So I just browse my reader and GO!
When you need a refresh, what do you do?

Im a reader too
BLOGS BOOKS MAGS EVERYTHING anything to find my mojo
Still sad I am missing the parking deck crawl
My motivation is definitely playing a hide-and-seek game with me. I had no energy during Saturday’s run, and then it happened again this morning. So back to basics with nutrition, hydration, and sleep. I’ve been letting work take over my me-time and my exercise time. So short of winning the lottery, time to rebalance!
I hit a HUGE running rut. So I stopped for awhile. I wasn’t enjoying it and it was causing more mental anguish than it deserved. I started focusing on other methods to stay active. In turn, they’ve made my running stronger. I’ve been loving on the Barre a few times a week and my legs and core are SO much stronger when I’m running – which makes it easier. I’ve been making an effort to practice yoga more often and so I’m learning to quiet my ever racing mind while hitting the pavement. And for the record, I don’t like races, either. I love running, hate to race.
anything and everything… gotta do whatever you can till you are out of the funk.
