Happy Friday!!!
Anyone else have a hard week with their workouts? As you know, I am running the ’1,000 Miles for 100 Smiles’ challenge. We have a private facebook group and the motivation is contagious. But for some reason this week, I am lacking. Ugh. But I have a run scheduled for tomorrow, so I am not going to beat myself up. Especially since my eating stayed clean 80% of the time.
Oh… want to participate in the challenge… click below
But more on the challenge later!

When I first started to run, I had no clue where to start. Do I use a handheld bottle or the runner’s version of a fanny pack? Gels, bloks, and waffles? And that thing called a foam roller…. who the hell created a torture device out of foam?
Luckily, as I ran with the Fleet Feet Savannah C.R.E.W. program , I started to learn a bunch of information and how I could make my running easier by fueling and hydrating properly. Plus, who doesn’t want cute run clothes?
I’m going to start sharing a few of my favorites every once in a while. And please comment on your favorites!!

Fuel Belt: I run with the fanny pack of hydration and LOVE IT. I have tried handhelds and can’t jam on those. I have the two bottle system which works well for me. When I run shorter races, I almost feel naked without it!
Honey Stinger Products: Their chews taste amazing and provide the nutrition I need for my training. I also dig the waffles for pre-workout nutrition if I am in a pinch!
Brooks Pure Cadence 2: I didn’t think I would like such a light-weight shoe. But the Pure Cadence 2, is built for stability. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shoe! Thanks Brooks for sending me a pair to test out!
Saucony Capris: These tights don’t roll down and stay put. Plus I feel like they make me look like I actually have a butt. Now THAT’S something I like
Swiftwick Socks: No chaffing, no blisters = happy runner!
