Renewed and Refreshed

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, then you know that I just went on a little vacation to Durango, CO!

Durango is the cutest town filled with amazing restaurants, art galleries, and proximity to some of our nation’s best skiing, snowboarding, and other snow sports.  I could of walked around and talked to everyone there for another month. Everyone was so friendly and there is so much to explore out there.

And I learned quite a bit from a few days out in the Rockies…

It’s alright to stop and smell the flowers. As in, literally go to a Florist and ask to go into the cooler…

Sometimes life hands you lemons and you need a new perspective to figure out how to make your lemonade…

Taking time for yourself is worth more than gold…

Listening and understanding yourself will help you listen and understand others…

Conquer your fears. Even if that means, squealing while snowshoeing down a hill for the first time.

I had such a blast and have never felt more grounded than I do now. It’s amazing what taking a step back from life can do to refocus you! And yes, I have more than one photo of the trip and I could talk about all the yummy places to eat… but you’ll have to just go out there and make your own memories 😉

** Since I have been asked why I took this trip, it was a much needed break and relaxation after a very hard past year. And with saying that, I hope that you all respect that I do not share a lot of my life on my blog. That’s just how I roll!**

  1. I’m so glad you had a good trip. And you set a good example for me. I may need a weekend escape soon, even if it’s just to a Savannah or Tybee hotel. I feel like I don’t have time to think anymore, and that gets old fast.

  2. Explanations totally NOT needed! Everyone deserves a break and man am I totally jealous of yours. 🙂 I have taken a lead from your example and working on scheduling a break for myself. I may not go far and I may not be a daring but even a day of being a tourist in your own town counts as a break in today’s busy world. Welcome back, and cannot wait to get to run w/you again soon. 🙂

  3. I’m glad you had such a good time! It’s nice to get away and relax for a while so I understand where you are coming from! Never been to Colorado but would love to go one day! :0)
