As I sit here typing, I realize that I totally should be cleaning for the St Patrick’s Weekend influx of friends. But eh, that will wait til another day or we will have had too many green jello shots that it won’t matter 😉
So this week I have found my groove back in the workout department. Wahoo!
Monday was a pretty big day at work. My boss asked my co-worker and I to run with her… I was STOKED! And she ran the whole mile!! I am so proud of her and loved seeing her face beam with enthusiasm! After we ran with her, Holly and I did two more- for a total of three miles. Quick and easy!
Yesterday morning, I was supposed to go meet up with the run group to run some miles. But I woke up late (damn time change) and decided to go on my own. Well, apparently I didn’t see the weather and when I walked outside it was raining. Since I learned last month that I won’t melt in the rain, I decided to head out for a 4 mile tempo run. Solid and sweaty!
As you are reading this (or as I am recovering from), I went to a 45 min spin class and a 45 min TRX class. Talk about a workout. Last week when I did this combo, I couldn’t even lift my beer glass the next day. As in, I literally had to rest my elbow on the bar to take a sip. Of course, that was quite awkward.
And if all goes well, I am planning on running 5-7 miles on Thursday and a possible spin class on Friday. That way I can get ready for St Patrick’s Day! The girls and I are getting to our square at the crack of dawn to reserve our spot along the parade route. We are such little party planners with google spreadsheets on who brings what, right down to the extra toilet paper! But you kind of have to be that prepared for this parade/party extravaganza!
And the funny thing is…. I have to run around 15-18 miles on Sunday. Let’s take bets on how that will go down….
