Welcome to the 1,000 Miles for 100 Smiles 2013 Challenge! Through this challenge, your donations (suggested $10 per person) will help raise monies for the American Cancer Society Camp Ukandu.
I first volunteered at Camp Ukandu in 2007 and have been back every year, except 2012 (due to vacation time). This is an incredible & outrageous week for childhood cancer patients and their siblings. They swim, go rock climbing, do arts & crafts, archery and much more! Oh, and the best part…. it is FREE for those attending. It costs approximately $1,000 per child attending. This covers the cost of food, lodging and fun! All of the doctors, nurses and counselors donate their time for the whole week.
So I am here to CHALLENGE YOU to run, yoga, bike etc 83 miles a month to reach 1,000 for the year. The breakdown for mileage will be in an email to all attendees and via Facebook! Each month you will get an email to update your portion of the spreadsheet… so log your miles & minutes working out! Each month will be a new prize for someone to win- but you must complete the 83 miles for that month to be entered!
So without further ado….
Donate below by clicking the icon and make a donation to by making your donation to”Help Us Celebrate More Birthdays” in the 3rd box!

And once you donate, would you be a doll and FILL OUT THIS FORM. That way ACS doesn’t have to keep checking how much I have raised for Camp! I will not use this information except to make a ‘thermometer’ of how many donations …. it’s just your name and donation amount.
